Your images stay on your device

The resizer runs entirely in your browser. When you open an image, it is processed locally using your browser’s Canvas API. We never upload, receive, store, or see your images. Closing the tab discards them.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics 4to understand which pages people find useful and how the site performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard measurement data such as your approximate location (from your IP address, which Google truncates), device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived. We use this only in aggregate — to decide what to improve — and we don’t use it to identify individuals.

You can opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. The resizer works fine either way.

Advertising

This site is supported in part by advertising. Ad networks we work with — which may include Google AdSense and similar providers — may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. You can review and control personalized advertising through Google’s Ad Settings and industry tools such as YourAdChoices. Where required, ads are shown only after you consent.

Affiliate links

Some pages include affiliate links, including as an Amazon Associate. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Retailers may set their own cookies to attribute the sale. This never affects the sizes or advice we publish — see our affiliate disclosure for the full details.

We don’t sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We don’t run our own email list or ask you to create an account, so there’s no profile of you for us to trade. The only data sharing that happens is with the analytics and advertising providers described above, acting on our behalf under their own terms.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, delete, or opt out of the processing of your personal data. Because we don’t hold accounts or store your images, most requests are handled through the browser and third-party controls linked above. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date at the top.
